I've had the pleasure of visiting the Aquatico Beach Resort several times in the past to cover events for the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Digging through my photo collection, I realized I have yet to upload these photos that I took earlier this year.
Located in Laiya, Acuatico Beach Resort is 140 km (87miles) south of Manila, which is about a 3-hour drive from Manila. The resort lies on the 4-km stretch of beach in San Juan, Batangas, with sand that, while not as white as that of Boracay's, remain to be one of its best features.
The resort opened its doors to guests in 2008 and has since made a solid name for itself. According to the resort's website, Aquatico, in 2009, became the third most searched “local travel destination” in the Year-End Google Zeitgeist, which compiles billions of Google searches.
