Boxfresh's latest collection inspired by after-work attire

When the people behind Boxfresh thought of a name for the men's apparel brand, they were clearly on to something. Last week at the launch of its latest autumn winter collection, the British streetwear once more lived up to its name.

Inspired by after-work attire and "off-duty" moments, Boxfresh presented a collection of apparel, footwear, and bags that were pure eyecandy. In a quick but tasteful runway show, the line of fashionable apparels were paraded on stage. For a guy like myself, what was on my mind during the entire show was: "Why the heck am I not wearing those clothes right now?"

Obviously, we don't have autumn or winter in the Philippines, but that doesn't mean we can't have our Boxfresh fix. After all, there's so much more to Boxfresh than apparel for the cold days.

Held at Spotlight Bar, transformed like one of the streets of London in one normal autumn day, the event gathered media representatives, celebrities, and some of the who's who in the fashion industry.

The collection, according to the press release given to the media, is comprised of an "updated take on classics, giving it a more contemporary feel, something that has made the brand one of London’s most innovative street wear brands."

Indeed, the look and feel of the items were casual and relaxed, but looked like items which men can wear on a daily basis. I particularly like the color combinations they chose for the models--autumnal colors such as red, hues of green, brown, ochre, and crisp blue.

Made with much contemporary aesthetics, Boxfresh incorporates its teardrop logo and other details to its products, meant to be spotted by those with a keen eye.

Key pieces from the footwear line are the Chipp (quilted mid cut boot), Flin (duck boot), Sumitt (monkey boot), Dalston (desert boot), Jib (deck shoe), and Swich Red Line (a classic sneaker that now comes in a red rubber sole). Key pieces from the apparel line are the biker collared waxed jackets, detachable hooded coats, classic cardigans, single pocketed polos, and graphic tees.

Boxfresh is distributed by Primer Group of Companies. It is available in Bratpack stores at the moment. But Boxfresh is to open its first concept store before the year ends.
