The one thing I remember most about the Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort is its see-through and walk-through bathroom that leads right where the bed is located (see photos below). Yes, there is a divider that guests can pull should they want more privacy. But when you're alone in the room, there's really no point.
I stayed at this hotel in Krabi, Thailand, sometime last July when I covered an event by car company Ford, which launched the latest version of its flagship car--the Focus. You can check out behind-the-scene photos of the event by clicking here.
While Krabi is quiet and peaceful (I liken it to the Philippines' Cebu or Puerto Princesa), I still much prefer the hectic atmosphere of Bangkok. That's because outside of the Sheraton hotel, there's really nothing much else to see in Krabi.
That's a stark contrast to my experience when I got to stay in Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok earlier this year. There, everything is within reach. You can check out photos of that business hotel by clicking here.
While the Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort is located along the shorelines of the Ao Nang Beach, I was hardly enticed to go swimming. Ao Nang Beach was nice, but I've definitely seen much better beaches here in the Philippines. I just didn't find the beach inviting enough to take a dip.
But I am glad, though, that Sheraton hotel has a 24-hour fitness center, which I managed to use around midnight one time. Then there's the 24-hour business center, where desktop computers can be used to surf the Internet for free. Magazines (current issues) are aplenty, too.
I hope you enjoy these pictures that I took. :)
