It's fall in the Big Apple (Part 2)

Police officers patrolling Times Square :)
It's my last day in New York. As I write this blog entry, I am inside the John F. Kennedy Airport, waiting for my flight back to Las Vegas to start boarding.

Outside, the snow continues to fall, giving me a nice view as I sip my warm cup of coffee. Yes, you read that right—snow! I've been told this is a little early for snow, considering it's not even Halloween yet. But, hey, who's complaining?

The snow is relentless, dumping slushy ice since early this morning. While I'm enjoying this visual spectacle, I hope this doesn't delay or cancel my flight like it had already done to several ones.

It's been a full six weeks now since I got here in the United States. In five days, I finally head back to Philippines.

As expected, I had so much fun here in New York, getting the chance to spend quality time with friends. Last time I was here, I've already been to the popular tourist attractions such as the Statue of Liberty in Ellis Island; Times Square; the Empire State Building; backstage and all access tours to Madison Square Garden and Radio City Hall; a visit to Rockefellar Plaza, and a visit to Central Park and Grand Central Terminal.

This time, luckily, I was able to tick off some more of the things in my to-do-list. A definite highlight of this trip was when we saw the off-Broadway show, "Traces"." (I shall make a separate blog entry about this later, as it definitely deserves one.

Since it was Halloween, we went to the "Blood Manor" attraction that was featured as one of the scariest haunted house attractions in History channel, I've been told. My friends and I also enjoyed going to the "CSI: The Experience" at the Discovery Exhibit Theater. Here, we got to play forensic detectives, just as how we see it on TV (yes, complete with CSI vests and equipment!).

Another great moment was when we saw "Paranormal Activity 3" together, which scared the bejesus out of us all. Later, we saw Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried-starrer "In Time," which has one of the most intriguing concepts ever.

Lastly, we were blessed to be able to try out some of the best restaurants in the city. During the course of my stay here, we had Frech cuisine (Le Cirque); Cuban (Cubana Cafe); Japanese and Chinese (both of which I forgot the names lol); and many more.

Till then, New York! :)
