WTW: Sinigang na lechon; new training shoes; an empty underpass :)

"Sinigang na Lechon" at Pignok resto in San Pablo, Laguna
If you're wondering what "WTW" in the title means, it stands for "Week that Was"--my weekly "column" if you will, where I talk about whatever it is that interested me in the last seven days or so. Here I go:

1. Sinigang na Lechon
I wasn't so sure about this dish when my friends suggested we taste it in Pignok, a restaurant in my hometown in Laguna. But when I tried it, I couldn't get enough! I like the idea of combining two of the country's iconic foods together. It totally worked! At P200, it was so worth it as it fed three very hungry people that time. Excited to try it again when I go home to Laguna this weekend. :)

2. New training shoes
Because I just went back to working out in the gym, I gifted myself with a new pair of training shoes to sort of congratulate myself. I know it's shallow but a new pair of shoes can actually fuel me to work out harder in the gym. It's not the most expensive or the most hi-tech pair of shoes out there, but who cares? They look and feel good on me. :)

3. Feels like ghost town
On my way back home from Greenbelt the other day, I chanced upon a very empty underpass along Ayala Avenue in Makati City. It was nighttime on a Saturday night then. While this isn't the first time I walked through an underpass alone, it still feels like a ghost town for about a minute down there. Cool/Creepy! :D
