Ken turns 26 (feels so old; looks so young)! :D
As is every year, my 26th birthday celebration served as a reminder of how lucky I am to be loved by so many people who are close to my heart. For the third year in a row, Redbox in Greenbelt served as the venue for this special day in my life (yes, we love to saaaaaaang! :D )
I can't even be sure how many people came (possibly more than 15) because while most people stayed until after midnight, some loved ones dropped by to greet. The people who came were a mix of my regular singing buddies (who are also fellow Mariah Carey fans); friends from the media; and people from Inquirer.
Obviously, I wasn't able to invite everyone--and that saddens me. If only I can have everyone there, I would. But we all know that's not realistic. There were also some more people who I wish would have been there but wasn't--some were abroad; others had work; some had prior commitments.
This was one of the "bestest" birthday bashes I've had. People (i.e. Mimi) shattered glasses and eardrums with their songs. I tried to sing a couple of songs but just couldn't concentrate as I was busy with the housekeeping. :)
When I turned 24, I threw a "Tea Party" at a hotel. Last year, it was Redbox and movies. I tried to think of a concept for my birthday but was too busy to actually plan one. There's always next year. :)
After five hours of singing in Redbox, we transferred to another videoke house (bitin! haha) then went to McDonald's to have something to eat (singing can make you really hungry!) :D
Again, I'd like to take this this opportunity to thank everyone who made this get-together possible. Thank you my lovely friends for coming! Til next year! :)
