It has been 9 months since I last posted an entry here. I feel bad. I loved blogging and found a sense of fulfilment in the hobby. Before this long hiatus, I was able to maintain the blog with regular posts for more than three years, though I'd admit there were several dry spells between those years, too (but nothing that lasted a couple of weeks).
I wish I knew why I suddenly lost the energy to update TWIST. I just did. Maybe because I focused on my social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Maybe I got distracted with the release of Mariah's new album (last May) and her concert last October. Perhaps it's a combination of all those.
I'm not sure if I'm back to blogging again for good. But what "forced" me into "reviving" this blog is this year's Palarong Pambansa, which happens in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. While I'm sure I'll find several travel and education stories for the Philippine Daily Inquirer (still my main job), I was primarily invited as a blogger. Therefore, the blog revival.
I covered the Palarong Pambansa two years ago, when it was held in Dumaguete. It was a different experience for me, as I'm not someone who regularly covers sporting events. Last year, I was invited to cover the youth event again, which took place in Laguna, but I can't remember why I politely declined the offer.
So there, that's the little story I have for you. If you see several Palarong Pambansa-centric stories here, don't be surprised. I do hope this event jolts me into posting regular entries in this blog again. We'll see. For now, I'd like to say I'm glad to be back. :)
