The last time I posted a blog entry was almost three months ago. That is bad—really bad. I apologize for
the neglect. I wish I could say I was too busy with work, but that would be a fat lie.
Not that work was light. Oh, there was work--and then some. It's funny how I was trying to list down the things that kept me busy in the past three months. I thought I'd be able to enumerate at least five major highlights, but my list was filled mostly with Mariah-related stuff.
Mariah released a new album on May 27. Big deal, yeah? To those who know my obsession with Mariah, they know it is. As head of the official Mariah group in the country (Mariah Carey Philippines), I became busy promoting "Me. I am Mariah. The Elusive Chanteuse" along with thousand other hardcore fans in the Philippines.
The months of June and July were filled with promotional events, coordinated with the singer's record label in the country (MCA Music). This included "Lambs Raid," where we gathered together in one venue (SM Megamall) to buy the album together; party launches that we call "Mariahthon" (we had two dates of all-Mariah in Bed).
The most creative event we launched though is our "Fan Run" where dozens of lambs gathered at the Ayala Triangle Park wearing our "I am Running" shirt. To our surprise, Mariah Carey herself retweeted a post about the event on Twitter. She even replied to the tweet. Nice to know we've been noticed and recognized for our efforts.
All the while, I was trying to balance the things I wanted to do with the things I needed to do. While I enjoy promoting Mariah, my work as a writer for the Philippine Daily Inquirer is more demanding. Then there are other family-related matters that needed to be dealt with.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to have a "woe-is-me" moment here. I thrive in a busy environment. I'd rather move around than stay in bed, most of the time.
Speak of moving around, I haven't had a proper run in the past three months, which is beyond horrible, considering I logged 120 kilometers of running in February of this year. If you're one my of runner friends, please do me a favor and scold me, humiliate me, help me get back on track. Please!

Filipino lambs went crazy when she confirmed a date for Manila (October 28, MOA Arena) earlier this month. This would be the second time she visits the country. The last time she was here was 11 years ago for her "Charmbracelet Tour" at the Fort Bonifacio open grounds.
The upcoming show means securing blocked seats for members of the Mariah Carey Philippines. Thankfully for us, Wilbros Live (the company bringing Mariah here) has given us some of the best seats in the house. We definitely can't wait for October to come.
As for me and my blog, I don't want to make any promises. But as always, I shall do my damn best to keep this blog up-to-date, for the people who do care. For now, God bless! :)
