Ready to be wowed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

It's the eve of the Mobile World Congress and, not surprisingly, I am giddy with excitement, like a teenage boy about to watch porn for the first time. Ha!

I'm supposed to be dead tired--having been airborne for a good 16 hours (plus several more spent in the airports for checking in, waiting for boarding time, blah blah) in three different aircraft to get here in Barcelona for the four-day convention. But I'm not. My excitement has seemed to have overridden everything remotely bad at the moment.

Lenovo, the computer giant, which invited me (and several other media people from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Hong Kong) to check out the new things they will be launching at the event, has been very gracious. They are treating us like rock stars! :)

Lenovo, of course, has recently become a very strong challenger in the smartphone and tablet market. With the great track record they have, my expectations are sky high. I am ready to be wowed. I'll make a separate blog post about that tomorrow.

For those of you who are not familiar with the Mobile World Congress (MWC), it's basically a gathering of the most important brands in mobile and technology today. It is here where companies like Lenovo launch their newest products. Huge personalities like Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg is also scheduled to give a talk tomorrow. Like I said, it's exciting! :)

Since we arrived a day before the actual event, Lenovo decided to give us a city tour, allowing us to experience the beautiful architecture and perfect weather first hand. The hotel we're staying at, the Gran Hotel de Florida, is kick-ass. We're up on the mountains and have the best view of the whole Barcelona. Hollywood personalities apparently stay here often. Cool! :)

That's about it for now. I better go get some rest as we have a packed day tomorrow. If you're interested for more live updates about MWC, please follow my Instagram account at kennethdelrosario and my Twitter account at @hot_ken. Gracias! Chao! :)
