Outback Steakhouse's weekday lunch spells variety and value for money

BBQ Chicken Flatbread

If there ever is a list of "the most appetizing reward," this lunch menu is sure to be in the upper echelons.

In true Outback Steakhouse fashion, the leading dining establishment has cooked up a new set of menu items for its “Weekday Lunch” offer that promises to whet the appetite with exciting flavors for the most discerning pallets. It's something your tummy will surely thank you for.

Whether you have an hour to yourself from work at the office or you simply want to enjoy some quality time with friends and family over lunch, Outback Steakhouse’s lunch offer is the same sumptuous food you’d come to expect every single time.

“Our ‘Weekday Lunch Specials’ has become the launch pad for some of our newest items. It’s our way to encourage our customers to try out fresh recipes,” said Dan Keven Co, Outback Glorietta’s managing partner.

The Crispy Shrimp Caesar Salad, for example, according to Co, was first made available in the ‘Weekday Lunch’ menu before it was “promoted” to the dinner menu after strong positive response from customers.

To further encourage patrons to be more adventurous, some food items from the dinner menu have been made available for the “Weekday Lunch” set for more than a third less than it would normally cost. An example of which is the signature Victoria’s Filet (a juicy 6oz thick-cut filet steak) that has a price tag of P899. The same dish, also served with mashed potatoes and seasonal fresh veggies, is available for only P599 during the lunch offer.

“The Outback experience is a reward in itself,” said Vanessa Calimlim, Outback’s marketing manager in the country. “You can easily buy frozen steak in the grocery store and cook it yourself. But our well-trained Outbackers, cozy ambience, and our secret 17 seasoning blend, more than set us apart from the rest.”

Because customers of Outback Steakhouse want nothing less but delicious food that only the Australian-themed company has perfected over 15 years in the country, the people behind it make sure they deliver on their promise of consistency and commitment to quality.

Tuscan Smothered Chicken
While the “Weekday Lunch” still consists of the favorite steaks that made Outback Steakhouse famous, it has grown to include food items with fish, pork, and chicken, as well as salad selections which result in a more diverse set.

“Here in Outback, it’s always about celebration, whatever time of the day it may be,” said Calimlim. “Our ‘Weekday Lunch’ gives variety and value for money for our customers while they enjoy the highest quality of food service we provide.”

Aside from the mouth-watering Victoria’s Filet (P599), there’s also the Asian Crispy Chicken Salad, Grilled Pork Chop and Shrimp Pasta in Basil and Cream Sauce (P395). Other new favorites include the Tuscan Smothered Chicken (P425) and Smothered Steak (P599).

A must-try is the Flatbread of Day (BBQ Chicken, Margherita, Shrimp Scampi & Chicken Romaine P295) and Crispy Fish and Pesto Rice (P349).

Calimlim said: “Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day and weekends are what most people look forward to, but weekday lunch at Outback Steakhouse is where the rewarding and fun dining starts!”

The “Weekday Lunch Specials” is available Monday- Friday 11am to 3pm (in Alabang Town Center and Glorietta- 4); and 12nn to 3pm (in Acropolis). Follow Outback Steakhouses’s Twitter account (@GoOutbackPH) and like its Facebook account at www.facebook.com/OutbackSEA
