The hilly side of Vegas

With all the hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, it's easy to forget the city is, in fact, a dessert. What we see in films are often the architectural wonders--building after building of concrete. But Sin City is definitely more than that.

In my last trip there last month, I was able to, for the first time, hike a couple of hills that is no doubt a different dimension of the Vegas I know. A friend of mine took me hiking not too far from where they live (somewhere in the North West are). There, I got to see the dessert landscape up close. It was a refreshing to see the city from a new angle.

And, oh yes, on a very sunny day (like the day we went), shots come out picture perfect! Enjoy the photos! :)
