Lady Gaga-inspired fashion for the fearless

Ricotitos co-presents the recently concluded Mr Metro Top Model
In a world where individual style is given heavy attention, standing out from the crowd can be a challenge.

With the goal of providing fashion-forward accessories to people who are not afraid to be different, to be “out there,” and to be noticed, Ricotitos is a new line of “glam up pieces” that is sure to make even Lady Gaga—arguably the queen of eccentric fashion—proud.

This edgy brand of accessories, which borders Gothic rave, produces anything from necklaces to rings; from cuffs to headbands; from shades to pieces that probably do not even have names yet.

“Our design is inspired by hardware materials—anything from wires, chains, screws, thread, yarn, zippers. We also use a lot of Swarovski stones and rhinestones, among many others,” said Ryan Pacho, the company's creative head. Pacho is the one who effortlessly crafts, by hand, every single piece in the Ricotitos' collection.

Pieces are hand-made
What sets Ricotitos apart from the others is its collections' uniqueness, as most of the designs are produced only once (some pieces are reproduced by request though, but only up to three times, Pacho said). This gives the wearer an identity that is unlike any other.

“We can even customize a piece for someone as he or she sees fit for an event,” said Teddy Aquino, Ricotitos' marketing executive. “This involves the wearer in the design and creation process as he or she tells us what the accessory should look like.”

With Ricotitos, you stand out from the crowd
Many of the pieces from Ricotitos' collection undergo the process of “reconstruction.” With this, they turn an ordinary accessory to a “jazzed up” piece that is beyond special.

While Ricotitos' design is far from the usual, Aquino said they make sure the pieces are still wearable.

Launched in May this year, Ricotitos was born out of a collaboration from four young entrepreneurs—Pacho and Aquino; and Ivan Malapit, the company's press relations manager; and Nikko Ramos, who overseas day-to-day business operation.

Asked where he gets his design inspiration from, Pancho, who has background in visual merchandising, said it comes from anywhere and anything he encounters.

Striking a pose never felt this fierce
“Making these accessories is my outlet. I like the pieces I make perfect every time,” he said. According to him, he can finish constructing 5 pieces of accessories in about 12 hours, depending on how elaborate the design is.

To keep prices at a reasonable level (price ranges from P150 to P1,000), Ricotitos sources its raw materials locally.

Malapit said: “Our goal is to make Ricotitos a household name; a fashion house, a ready-to-made brand brand for the most sophisticated individuals.”
