Three pounds and one inch off my waistline later ...

A shot from way back when. :) This is the body I want to have again :)
It's been a month now since I started working out again after some seven months of no regular exercise. There's been good news and bad news. The good news? I dropped from 169 lbs to 166 lbs and lost an inch off my waistline. The bad news? I felt I could have done more.

Don't get me wrong. A loss is a loss and I am happy to know I've stopped my body from ballooning further. It isn't healthy and it so isn't working for my clothes department.

I go to the gym two or three times a week and work out for an hour (or even more if I'm truly in the mood). My workout routine is about 50% cardio and 50% weight lifting. To be fair to me, I know I really wasn't giving it my all because what I wanted was to re-introduce myself to going to the gym and sweating out regularly. In this regard, I am a success.

The real challenge begins today, when I have to really increase the level of intensity of my work out routines. It's not going to be easy. But I'd find a way to make it happen! :)

Another good/bad news. I haven't had new clothes in a while. I have been purposely holding back on shopping for new clothes because I don't want to buy shirts and pants that would later be a size larger than my future-slimmer self. Hehe. The good news is I swear I'd go on a shopping spree in about 6 weeks from now when I am more fit and, heck yeah, sexier! :)

For the record, I don't want to be thin or slim. That would never happen with my body type. I simply want to shed off the extra pounds that I feel have no place in my festive body (ha!). Seriously, I am a future-oriented individual. And I'd really like to get my body in shape today so I carry the routine even in my older years. Bow! :)
