Well, what do you know!
Just like that, TWIST, this beloved blog of mine, has turned three. If it was a child, I'd be readying him for pre-school.
Until now, I'm surprised at how long I've kept the blog going. But, unlike the first two years--where I didn't know how long I'd keep blogging--there's now a sense of certainty, a feeling which tells me I'd be blogging for a much longer time than I had initially planned. That's a good thing.
In the last year, the blog gathered almost 147,000 views from around the world, which brings the total views for the first three years to some 364,000. In the last 12 months, I posted 61 blog entries, which brings total published posts to 351. (*Jumps with joy!*)
There are some interesting things that happened during the last year. First, two of the blog entries I've posted (one in June, another in July) has become the two most read posts for the past year and for the past three years.
In the top spot is "The Best Male-Female duets of the past 20 years" , which has amassed more than 46,000 views--the most number of views for any entries I've ever posted. In the runner-up position is "The Best Female-Female duets of all time", which has more than 14,000 views--the second-most read post in this blog.
They are trailed by "The Best Male-Male duet of all time" which, interestingly, has only more than 1,100 views.
A look at those three most read items from March 2013 to March 2014 will lead you to think TWIST is a music blog. Partly, it is, in a way. Aside from those music-related posts, there are entries that were about Mariah Carey, wearing earphones, and the like.
Another thing I've noticed is that TWIST now has more visitors from the US, than the Philippines, according to the Google analytics I use. In the past three years, the top visitor (after US & PH) came from the UK, Canada, Australia, India, Indonesia, Russia, Malaysia, and Japan. Cool! :)
Again, there's nothing more to say but thank you, thank you, thank you! I appreciate the brands that have started inviting me for my blog, not for the newspaper I work for. I take this as a show of support. So yey!
Til next year. Keep TWISTing! :)
