TWIST (The Way I See Things): PHOTOS: Balay Cena Una resto in Albay, Bicol

Here's one for the "where to eat when you're in Bicol" list.

Balay Cena Una (roughly translated in English as "olden or aged house") is a homey, classic home-turned-resto in Daraga, Alabay in Bicol.

You know how, when dining, the ambiance is half the gastronomic adventure? It's kinda like that here. The food is great. The place is lovely!

According to its website, Balay Cena Una is a "beautifully restored ancestral home that houses celebrated traditional flavors of different cultures" not just the spicy cuisine the region is famous for.

In fact, while I remember the Bicol Express quite vividly, it's their dessert (pictured below) that I continue to crave for.
