You ever meet a person for the first time and think that he or she looks okay? Later on, when you get a chance to have a more meaningful look at him or her, you realize how so much more beautiful or handsome that person is? This is kind of like how I felt about Playa Tropical Resort Hotel.
For me, the resort does not scream luxury. But once you see how spacious the rooms are; how pretty the huts are for relaxation; how accommodating the staffers are for guest requests; and how homey the overall vibe of the place is, you'll quickly change your mind.
It's not like the resort isn't luxurious--it certainly makes the cut. I just think that its strength lies more on its charm and location. In this part of town--in Currimao, Ilocos Norte--it's your best bet for a wonderful and restful getaway. :)
