Photos: National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden

There's a beauty in seeing works of art outside, in the open, playing with the elements. The sun, the rain, the shadow, the grass all give a different dimension and feel to masterpieces that would have otherwise looked dull or uninteresting in a traditional museum setting indoors.

This is perhaps why the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden in Washington DC has become one of the main attractions there. Several dozens artworks are featured in a spacious environment where visitors can roam around freely--and for free.
