Waking up in Vegas (Part 3)

My vacation's halfway done but I feel like I'm just getting started!

It's been three weeks (or exactly 21 days) since I got here in Vegas, and I've been enjoying every minute of it. Tomorrow morning though, I leave for New York for the second half of my trip.

Time flies when you're on vacation, even more so when you're in Sin City. The last three weeks have allowed me to make new friends, who have all been amazing at driving me around town and bringing me to places only friends can.

Even though this is my third time to visit Vegas, there were still a lot of firsts for this trip. For the first time, I got to hike a hill to see another side of Vegas (I'll make a separate blog entry for this later); see a Filipino film ("No Other Woman" was festive!); visited lots of new nightlife hotspots (like the bar at the Artisan boutique hotel); attended festivals (such as the "Penafrancia" and the "First Friday" fest) and saw several shows (like "The Lion King" and "The Blueman Group.)"

I was also fortunate enough to attend to many family affairs such as watching a cousin's soccer game; helping another cousin choose a dress for her homecoming; attending a soccer-themed birthday party of yet another cousin; and clocking hours baby-sitting a niece.

Like the tourist-tourist that I am, I had walked at The Strip by myself several times and took photos of the beautiful architectural wonders of hotels and casinos that line up this busy boulevard. You'll get to see them later in my future blog entries.

But I'm not quite done with Vegas yet. After three weeks in New York, I go back here for another five days before I finally go home to the Philippines. But we don't need to think about that now. After all, I'm still on vacation! :D
