Six months on: 16,000 views; 118 posts :)

The most read/viewed posts for August :)

It has been six months since I put this blog up. Until now, that's a concept that's hard for me to digest. I seriously thought I'd lose interest in updating this site after a month or two. Yet here I am, half a year later, doing my "monthly report." I do look forward to doing this entry every start of the month because it's when I get to step back a little and see what has happened in my blog in the last 30 days.

Most read/viewed posts of ALL TIME (since March) :)

This August, TWIST received 2,948 views, which brings its total hits to over 16,000 (since March). Amidst Internet connection problems, out-of-town trips, laptop battery issues, and an ever hectic schedule, I am thankful that I was still able to post 17 entries last month. 

The most read entries for August (that was posted in that same month) was, rather unsurprisingly, "Mariah Carey's most viewed videos on YouTube" (which was read 85 times) and that post's "Part 2" (which was read 64 times). At third place is "Skimboarding in Boracay--fun and falls; bruises and all" (which was read 54 times).

Overall, since TWIST went live last March, these three posts were the most read ever (so far): "How to sell a Swarovski-encrusted P15,000 footwear" which has been read 978 times since it was posted last June. Runners-up include Questionable restaurant "policies" (read 388 times since April) and "South Africa bags 'Mr Gay World' 2011 title" (read 289 times since March).

Because I am a sucker for statistics, here are some more numbers to bore you. Out of the 2,948 views for August, 38% were views from the Philippines; 17% were from the United States of America (up by 10% since last month).

Overall, the percentage of visitors from the Philippines has continued to slide for the sixth straight month--from 68% in March; to 65% in April; to 63% in May; to 61% in June; 57% in July; and 55% in August. I can only imagine this is due to the face that the blog has been gaining more support from outside the Philippines. This is good news! :)

As for where the rest of the 2,948 views for August came from, the top 10 countries are (in order): the Philippines; the USA; Malaysia; India; Canada; Indonesia; Slovenia; Brazil; Australia; and Singapore. Yey! :)

Oh, and yes, if you haven't seen the new "About Ken" page that I just put up the other day, you haven't missed anything. it's really just more stuff about myself (as the name suggests). Lol. :)
