PHOTOS: Seven different Buddha poses
While in Malaysia recently, we stopped by several Buddhist temples (which I will blog about in a separate entry later) on the side. I already know there were several types of Buddha statues, having visited one of the largest Seating Buddha statues in Ngong Ping in Hong Kong last year.
But I was intrigued to see so many other different Buddha "poses" such as the Reclining Buddha (pictured above). This pose apparently represents the "final passage into nirvana" which, in Buddhism, is a "state of nothingness."
