New 'solemate' trumpets classic foot silhouette; is fashionable & trendy


The search for the perfect “solemate” is over. That’s because with the arrival of Native Shoes in the Philippines, you’d find yourself wearing one of the most fashionable, trendsetting, and lightweight footwear in the land.

“More than a brand, Native Shoes is a concept,” said Chris Noyes, the company’s global sales director, who was in the country recently to help launch the brand. “Our designs cater to just about for anybody and everybody.”

Native Shoes is a popular shoe brand created and developed in 2009 in Vancouver, Canada, that goes beyond conventional canvas variety, maintaining a classic silhouette that is versatile, and great for everyday wear.

Native Shoes is lightweight, washable, waterproof, antimicrobial, and odor-resistant--all the things you’d ever wish your footwear has. This is made possible by the lightweight, foam-injection molded-EVA material that molds to the feet, giving results that are easy to wear and great to look at, whatever time of the day it is, wherever you are.

“We’d like to espouse to the Filipino market our philosophy of just keeping everything lite, even during tough days. Feeling good starts with great footwear,” said Shawna Olsten, Native Shoes’ global marketing director.

Both technologically innovative and eco-friendly, Native Shoes boasts of footwear made from brightly colored EVA material, which molds to your feet. This highlights the foot’s iconic silhouette, keeping things simple and comfortable.

Native Shoes designs are very versatile one can wear it from the office to a night out with friends; from shopping in a mall to going to church; from staying at home to walking your dog in a beach.

From the first collection it launched in Spring 2010, Native Shoes has gone a long way. Today, Native Shoes is available in 23 countries including the USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Italy, France, the UK, Denmark, and Kuwait.

“We’re happy that Native Shoes is performing really well, exceeding our expectations. This only inspires us to double the amount of work we do because people are responding positively,” said Esme Smith, global marketing director.

Out of the many lines of shoes that has premiered the world over since last year, four of them made their debut last summer through premiere lifestyle brand builder, the Primer Group of Companies.

Smith said: “We’ll continue to focus on innovation, focus on form and fashion of our designs, so we can reach more people and provide them with the best footwear they can ever have. But as the company grows, the vision always remains. We keep it light for now and for tomorrow.”
