Mommy Mariah gives birth in time for Mother's Day

To some who have been familiar with the many sexy music videos of superdiva Mariah Carey, it might be a challenge to imagine her as a mom. Mariah's big personality is as famous as her songs. It's no secret that she likes everything "festive, fantastic, and fantabulous" (her words, not mine).

That's why many were curious as to how "the best selling female artist of all time" will handle her new role as a mom.

Even before the birth of the twins, Mariah has already posted pictures (via her Twitter account) painting her then bulging belly with butterflies and Easter eggs to celebrate special occasions in her life. We can only wonder what she'll dress her kids up as!

Last April 30 (the couple's third wedding anniversary, no less),  Mariah welcomed to the world her princess, Monroe Carey, and their prince, Moroccan Scott Cannon. As expected, the babies names are as unusual as their mom's. Seriously, did anyone think Mariah would name her children something common like Jessica and Mark?

Moments after Mariah and husband Nick Cannon revealed the names of "dembabies" (as she fondly refers to them), they were trending topics worldwide on Twitter. Mariah is expected to release the first photos of "Roc&Roe" (the twin's collective nickname) very soon.

Mariah tweeted: "I wish I could personally thank all those around the world who continue 2 send congrats+prayers for #dembabies!they're doing great. And they are the most incredible gifts we could ever have imagined!"

Fellow superstars--from the likes of Katy Perry, Alyssa Milano, Jermaine Dupri, Nicki Minaj, BoyzIIMen, Busta Rhymes--sent out their congratulatory messages on Twitter. Others who also posted their best wishes on the microblogging site include Dj Suss One, James Poyser, Dark Child, and Jump Smokers.

As a hardcore fan, I couldn't be less than excited to this new phase in Mariah's life. I know that as much as Mariah is thankful for the millions of records she has sold, that nothing cold compare to having her own family. Now that Mariah's a mom, I feel I've just become an uncle!

Happy Mother's Day Mariah. You more than deserve to be happy! :)
